We have reached our 59th edition and are preparing a programme designed to meet the expectations of the thousands of fans who follow us throughout the year, as well as the Promoter and the teams. The fifth round of the FIA World Rally Championship will take place in the Northern and Central regions of Portugal from 7 to 10 May. The rally’s operational Welcome base remains at Exponor, in Matosinhos, where rally headquarters, manufacturers and drivers will be located. The WRC Vodafone Rally de Portugal counts towards the FIA World Rally Championship with Rally1 cars, as well as the WRC2 and WRC3 championships, and also the FIA Junior WRC, which returns to our country. A word of thanks to all the municipalities involved in the rally itinerary (Águeda, Albergaria-a-Velha, Amarante, Arganil, Cabeceiras de Basto, Coimbra, Fafe, Felgueiras, Figueira da Foz, Góis, Lousã, Lousada, Matosinhos, Mortágua, Paredes, Sever do Vouga and Vieira do Minho), as well as to the indispensable support of our sponsors – Turismo de Portugal, Turismo do Porto e Norte, Turismo do Centro, and Vodafone, BP, Hertz, Via Verde and KP World. The Automóvel Club de Portugal, as the organiser of the WRC Vodafone Rally de Portugal, holds the highest rating of three stars in the FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme, a distinction it has maintained since 2017. As one of the largest national tourism and sporting events, due to its significant contribution to positioning Portugal as a tourist destination and to territorial cohesion, ACP’s strong commitment to this rally also represents its contribution to society, as a promoter of events that help combat seasonality and regional isolation.
